Beanie started skiing from a very young age in Scotland, but it wasn’t until she finished University that she started competing and subsequently realized that it was the perfect excuse to avoid more mundane employ, and ski all the time.

That said, she wasted no time making her presence immediately felt upon arriving on the British scene, claiming a clean sweep of podiums across 3 disciplines at the British Championships, and to this day remains the girl to beat!

Beanie is arguably responsible for single-handedly putting British Female Freeriders on the world map, rolling from competition to magazine trip to video shoot. Her profile raised considerably following a season presenting on NZ Skier TV and she is now intent on filming a defining video section in freeskiing's most challenging mountain range of Alaska.

Career Highlights:
2nd place, NZ Freeski Open 2007.
British Big Air Champion 2007.
Shooting with Tanner Hall and JP.
Awarded “Local Hero” by Glasgow Herald.

Quotes:
“I’m guided by a force much greater than luck.” - Empire Records "

What do you love about Skiing?

Everything

What's your goal within Skiing?

Just to carry on loving it, whilst trying to improve my freestyle and combine it with my big mountain skiing. On the more professional side I am looking to get into the Freeride World Tour series and continue to shoot and film as much as possible - preferably with some trips to crazy places.

What aspect of Skiing gives you the most satisfaction (powder, kickers, Halfpipe, Competitions, Big Air, Cliff drops etc

Powder, discovering new stashes and riding with friends. Half pipe is my favourite in the park.

Give someone some advice:

Don\'t forget that you are doing it because you love it.

General Questionnaire

What are your other interests?

The usual, music, film, photography, hanging out with mates. But my main other interest is design, I love illustration and street art and spent 4 months last year studying an intro to Graphic Design to try and use it alongside my skiing. Also get obsessed by magazines and have stack loads of them overflowing in my room that I have collected from around the world.

Where would you like to see yourself in the future?

Living in the Alpes, skiing all winter with a few epic trips away each year. Working for Faction designing the women\'s side of the brand and developing the softgoods.

Realistically, what will you be doing in the future?

See above, fingers crossed.
