Snowboarder Questionnaire
How old where you when you first began riding?
Around 12 years old I think. Maybe 13. Had my first lesson at my local mountain in Spain, Sierra Nevada.
What/Who got you into it?
A natural progression from skateboarding. Hillend and Bearsden dryslopes had a lot to do with it too when I came back to Glasgow for uni.
What sort of board do you ride?
Anything around a 26.5cm waist. Toe-drag is the devil!
What length board do you ride?
Generally a 164 for everything. I'm a big lad and need the extra length for stability.
Do you ride Regular or Goofy?
Both but naturally regular.
Stance width?
Usually a boards widest stance...just under 25 inches.
Stance angles (front and back)?
12, -9
Favourite resort?
Whistler, Les2Alpes and Sierra Nevada (Spain)
How many seasons have you done?
3

New Zealand summer 2003, Whistler 03/04, Whistler 05/06

What was your favourite trip and why?
Headin up to the The Red Bull Rail Storm in Glasgow. I walked over George Square for 5 years while at uni...then I got to snowboard in it!!! Wicked!
What do you love about snowboarding?
Every aspect of it especially the excuse to travel and to unify people of a similar mindset.
What's your goal within snowboarding?
To keep enjoying it for as long as possible.
What aspect of snowboarding gives you the most satisfaction (powder, kickers, halfpipe, competitions, big air, cliff drops, etc.)?
Trees....its all about the powder in the trees!!! Also really trying to nail a trick and eventually succeeding.
What style of snowboarding best describes your riding (include a couple if you want)?
Like a tall dude trying to be short and stocky....
What's your favourite trick?
The flying squirrel.
What's your scariest snowboarding moment?
Everytime all you can see is blue sky and you know that the ground is approaching fast.
What are your top safety tips when riding?
Make sure your laces are tied and respect the Mountain Code of Safety.
What advice have you got?
Smile! It doesn't cost anything and will make someones day.

Where would you like to see yourself in the future?
Living in Canada with some sort of career path, a house in Vancouver, a big ass truck and a smile on my face.
Realistically, what will you be doing in the future?
Doing exactly that. No point having aspirations if you're not going to live up to them!!!

The people that get me stoked on life.
What music are you into?
Anything but techno.
What's your favourite book?
Anything by Terry Pratchett, Dean Koontz.
What's your favourite film?
CB4 - The Movie "A Rap Mockumentary"
What's your favourite quote?
"Rub ma back Scottie!!"

Irn-bru or Caipirinha
What's your most prized possession?
My liver.
