Skier Questionnaire
How old where you when you first began skiing?
I was about 11 years old, in year 7 i think!
What/Who got you into it?
My Dad got me into skiing originally, he wanted me to come on a ski holiday to Andorra with some family friends. I had some lessons at the local ski slope, went for a week holiday and really liked it. Then people like Sam Cullum inspired me to get into freestyle after seeing them ride at Bracknell.
What type of ski's do you use?
I am currently riding the 06/07 Atomic Urban Triplets.
What length ski's do you use?
166cm, may need to upgrade.
Favourite Resort:
For the winter probably Laax with is large variety of slopes and really good parks (like the brits 06 park and pipe). In the summer i ride in Saas Fee which i think is the best glacier around with a good park, and the night life is pretty good. Lots of racers though!
How many seasons have you done?
I have done no seasons :( but am planning to do one as soon as i finish sixth form next year.
Where have you done your seasons (including the year)?
blank!
Where was you favourite trip and why?
So far its between the 06 Orange Brits and the Saas Fee British summer camp 06. Both had really good competitions which i did quite well in and i got to ride with the best of British riders and good friends. Good coaching also makes a good trip which is why the Saas Fee camp was so good. Really good afternoon and evening activities as well.
What do you love about Skiing?
I love the lack of limits, knowing that there are so many things to be done within one sport, its almost impossible to achive them all but i can try and there is always something to aim for. You can ride with mates and have a good session, or you can just go off and ride on your own, its all good.

What's your goal within Skiing?
I want to ski for the rest of my life and have fun doing it. At the moment my goal is competing and personal performance. I will continue to compete and get as far as i can, World Cups are a future goal and overall on a larger scale the olympics. When i cannot compete anymore, because of age or injury and i want to coach freestylers, i have already started with a British coaching qualification.
What aspect of Skiing gives you the most satisfaction (powder, kickers, Halfpipe, Competitions, Big Air, Cliff drops etc
Competitions give me a lot of satisfaction, especially if i perform well. Just riding around with mates as fast as we can is amazing. Learning new tricks or skills in every form of skiing.
What style of Skiing best descibes your riding (include a couple if you want)?
I suppose the style of my riding would be descried as new school freestyle. Trying to make it fluid and styly!
Favourite Trick:
Probs, bio 720's with reverse mutes or double safeties. switch 7's are nice. and i love doing 540 reverse true tails. And for laughs i like doing superman front-flips and switch backflips.
What's you scariest Skiing moment?
Maybe when i went on the 05 Saas Fee camp, first time i had ever hit a big kicker, followed in jamie cameron, but i still got the speed wrong and all the way though the air i knew i was going to knuckle it. Didn't get to badly hurt but scared me a lot! I think its actually scarier watching other people sometimes, especially when you can see they are going to eat it.
What's your top safety tips when Skiing?
Always be a little bit scared, if your not scared, your not carful, and you can get cocky. Thats when things can really go wrong! (then again if your not confident, then you will also die)
Give someone some advice:
Murray, get some fat so you can go faster into the big kickers! Woodsy, cut your hair! Richard, get shorter, your far too long! (same goes to Mavin) Fawcett, lay off the alcohol
