Introduction...

Jody is one of only a handful of UK skaters to have made the ranks of European Pro Team member. He flirted first with surfing following a family move to Cornwall aged 12, but soon switched board sports, where he has since blazed a trail for aspiring UK skaters.

In between traveling and documenting his exploits at the world's skating hotspots, Jody squeezes in appearances at the sport's highest profile contests, including a recent 2nd place at the prestigious Oslo Games.

Jody's career ambition, as with any self-respecting pro skater is to receive the admiration of his peers and secure a pro model board, though he does admit to a recent guilty pleasure and unhealthy obsession with Jean-Claude Van Damme films... one day, he hopes to collect them all!

What aspect of Skateboarding gives you the most satisfaction (rails, bowls, vert, competitions, mini ramp, street etc

My perfect environment would be a large area with smooth ground, marble ledges and different size steps.

What's your favourite trick?

Switch backside tailslides

What's your worst skateboarding injury and how did you do it?

I've had so many but i would say the worst/most annoying injury i've had and am still having is a fractured fifth metatarsal. I've broken it 3 times now!

My advice for anyone who wants to be sponsored is not to think about it too much, just skate and have fun. Let the companies come to you.
