Martin has been an amazing ambassador for Smith over the past couple years. He has been a real benefit having him a part of the brand. He was riding bear a ton last year and it was perfect cause there was minimal SMITH on the hill and with our new products coming out we needed some top riders rocking the product. Martin was a grateful kid whole became pretty knowledgeable about the goggles he rocked last year. That was a huge plus. A lot of the riders at bear looked up to him to which was rad!

I personally don't have anything bad to say about Martin. He is stoked on riding and was on the hill everyday. That was what I was looking for in an athlete and is has worked out great!

03/04 - All over europe with the british snowboard team. 04/05 - Finland, Lebanon, Switzerland, Iceland, Norway and Mammoth. 05/06 - Finland, Switzerland, Austria and Scotland. 06/07 - Bear Mountain, New Zealand. 07/08 - Bear Mountain, CA. 08/09 - Bear Mountain, CA. 09/10 - Cairngorm, Scotland! 10/11 - Mammoth, CA.

What was your favourite trip and why?

Whitelines magazine trip to The Lebanon. The snow, country, food & company was all amazing!

What do you love about snowboarding?

I love just messing around on the hill with my friends, finding fun lines and learning new tricks. Some of the best days riding have been at home in Scotland even in the worst of conditions!

What's your goal within snowboarding?

Snowboarding has enabled me to travel the world, meet new people and see/ride some amazing places! My only goal is to have as much fun as possible!

What aspect of snowboarding gives you the most satisfaction (powder, kickers, halfpipe, competitions, big air, cliff drops, etc.)?

I like to do it all...

What style of snowboarding best describes your riding (include a couple if you want)?

I try to make my riding look clean, stylish and smooth.

What's your favourite trick?

Can't land them, but double corks are so much fun! I got to land one before I retire...

What's your scariest snowboarding moment?

Breaking my pelvis sucked!

What are your top safety tips when riding?

Round off your edges for rails!

What advice have you got?

Wax your board as often as possible.

Where would you like to see yourself in the future?

As long as I'm happy & healthy I don't really care?! Hopefully still with Jenny too...

Realistically, what will you be doing in the future?

I work pretty hard to get where and what I want in life, so hopefully Ill be happy where I end up.

Who are your idols?

There is so many influences rather than an 'Idol' as such. Rider wise: Iikka Backstrom, Lauri Heiskari, Eero Niemela, Torstein Horgmo, Mikkel Bang & Ben Kilner.

What music are you into?

Whatever compliments the moment. When I'm djing however I play trance/progressive/house style music. I've always loved it and I can either chill to it or go crazy and party to this style of music!

Macbook Pro.
