Introduction...
Hi Im Rob Machon Im a 17 year old kid with a massive passion for anything to do with skiing. I've been skiing since my parents took me to Sheffield Ski Village when I was 3 years old and then took me on my first skiing holiday to Andorra. At 11 I started freestyle at Sheffield ski village where I started to progress my skiing.
My Reffernece from Pat Sharples (Salomon and Oakley team manager)
I’ve been coaching Rob for 3 years now and it has been great to see someone at his age put so much effort into the sport he loves. He has to be one of the hardest working skiers who turns up to my training camps and he will take in everything that myself and the other coaches tell him. Over the last year I’ve noticed a massive difference with his skiing. He could always do the hard tricks that all the kids want to do and has never been scared of giving them a go, but now he has added his own style into his skiing which really stands out. Rob now is one of the best in the UK for his age and I’m sure he can go all the way if he carries on putting all the hard work into his skiing that he is doing now. I also think he would be a perfect skier for sponsors as he will do his very best for the people who are helping and supporting him!
(Head coach of the British Freeski camps & World cup halfpipe coach)
