Snowboarder Questionnaire
How old where you when you first began riding?
I was about 16.
What/Who got you into it?
My dad was probably the main reason I got into it, as he was a ski instructor out in Stratton Vermont and me and my bro would go and visit him.
What sort of board do you ride?
I ride the Drake Player/DF1. Its really strong and powerful, yet light with lots of snap, making for wicked pop off the jumps and maximum press on rails. Super sick board, try them out!
What length board do you ride?
I ride a 158 in the back country and a 156 for the park.
Do you ride Regular or Goofy?
Goofy Goofy Goofy.
Stance width?
About 24 1/2\".
Stance angles (front and back)?
+21 on the front and -15 on the back foot.
Favourite resort?
Breckenridge and Crested Butte Colorado
How many seasons have you done?
Eight seasons.
Where and when did you do your seasons?
I started by going to a snowboard academy in Crested Butte Colorado for eight months. It has the best steeps and is a wicked fun resort to ride at, especially with loads of powder. You can\'t beat it! I did one and a half more seasons there, one of which I taught for the season. My last few seasons have been in Breckenridge Colorado, where I spent two seasons teaching and the last four seasons riding and teaching myself to get better at jumps, park and competitions.
What was your favourite trip and why?
My favourite trip was to the DC Mountain Lab last winter. I ride for DC UK and have always loved all their stuff, so it was really, really amazing to go there, ride their awesome park all day, hang out in the house for a well nice BBQ lunch on the deck and ride with my bro Nate and a bunch of friends!
What do you love about snowboarding?
I love the feeling of cruising down the hill, doing some sweet turns on freshly groomed corduroy, hahaha. Flying through the air, holding a grab the whole way over a big jump and the feeling of floating, riding bottomless powder out in the beautiful mountains!
What's your goal within snowboarding?
To ride as much as I can, learn as many tricks as I can, win some big competitions and become a really \'good\' snowboarder! Find a way to carry on snowboarding my whole life and keep my body healthy and strong!

What aspect of snowboarding gives you the most satisfaction (powder, kickers, halfpipe, competitions, big air, cliff drops, etc.)?
I get the most satisfaction riding kickers and stomping tricks. I also love riding powder and hitting jumps in the back country.
What style of snowboarding best describes your riding (include a couple if you want)?
Smooth with good style.
What's your favourite trick?
My favourite tricks are huge frontside 360 indy pokers and switch underflip 540 stales!
What's your scariest snowboarding moment?
Doing a front five and going upside down as soon as I took off. Didn\'t think I\'d get away with that one but somehow got my board under me, didn\'t land it but corked front five, I\'ll take it.
What are your top safety tips when riding?
Check jumps out before you jump and watch a couple of people hit them first, so you can see how much speed you will need.
What advice have you got?
Do everything with as much style as possible.
