Tim is a fantastic, laid back and approachable presenter with so much enthusiasm for his subjects. He has a gentle Birmingham accent and an engaging personality which undoubtedly attracts his audience. Tims main strength is his determination to succeed in all he does.

Tims career took off due to his passion for snowboarding. He started to snowboard at the snow dome in Tamworth at the age of 16, and by the age of 20 he was a UK champion, and had competed for the British Junior team in Japan. He competed at a high level for many years before breaking his back in a snowboard accident.

It was this that led him on his media pathway, first MCing at various snowboard events across Europe, and then into presenting TV. He was spotted and asked to present for Kerrang! Radio across the Midlands and across the UK on digital. He currently presents Amped each Saturday (5-8pm).

Tim is a huge fan of extreme sports having hosted various shows for The Extreme Sports Channel. More recently Tim has hosted Freesports on 4 for Channel 4, traveling to various destinations in the world covering sporting events such as Roxy Chicken Jam, Red Bulls Empire of Dirt and The Atherton Project. He has also recently co-presented, researched and written Red Bulls extreme sports show for Nuts TV which is currently being shown all over the world.

Not limited to TV and radio Tim also hosts various events, he has hosted his own event at the Ski and Snowboarding Show and more recently at London Freeze shown on Channel 4 and T4.

Tim runs and owns a production company called LOCKDOWN Projects, they are sponsored to make films that are distributed free throughout all snowboarding stores at home in the UK and abroad. He comes up with all the ideas, writes and films each film.

Tim is currently part of the Freesports on 4 presenting team, and hosts his own showed AMPED on Kerrang radio.

Who would have thought that a young boy from Birmingham, who was also previously a remote Control Car Champion, would end up having so many credits to his name and being a successful television and radio presenter?

Snowboarder Questionnaire

How old where you when you first began riding?

I started snowboarding during two weeks work experience at the Snowdome in Tamworth. I was 15 years old.

What/Who got you into it?

I already skateboarded, and i really liked the look of it, so i hooked up a lesson with one of the instructors, and that was it! Hooked!!!

What sort of board do you ride?

I use the SALOMON Scotty Arnold. It's the best ever! Seriously ride this board!

Favourite resort?

Vail in colorado. It has everything, from pipe to rails, jumps to trees, and when it snows its the lightest snow to ever fall from the sky. Plus I know it really well, so i know where to ride.

How many seasons have you done?

11 Seasons! (My god)

Where and when did you do your seasons?

I have been lucky enough to have travelled all over the world with snowboarding! Theres only south America left to ride for me

What was your favourite trip and why?

Fuel 2 was my favourite trip to date. Traveling, see the most amazing sights doing so much cool stuff, with the coolest people in the world! I cant put down in words how much fun we all had. It was a long time ago now. But going to Lebabnon was cool too!

What do you love about snowboarding?

I just love snowboarding. I love the feeling of doing new tricks, landing your favourite tricks. I love being in the mountains, and being with your friends. I love the clothes, and googles, and of course, going fast as hell!

What aspect of snowboarding gives you the most satisfaction (powder, kickers, halfpipe, competitions, big air, cliff drops, etc.)?

I just really like going fast through the tree's trying to lose all my friends. It's awesome. Just riding powder is the best ever!

What style of snowboarding best describes your riding (include a couple if you want)?

That's tough! Probably burly / out of control! I really cant comment on my own style. I don't know, erm, maybe rusty! hahah

What's your favourite trick?

A nice frontside 720 into powder is amazing. I cant do them; but they are my favourite by far!

What's your scariest snowboarding moment?

Breaking my back, back in Laax. It still kind of in the back of my mind now! That and anything really really steep where you can't see the bottom, but that is a good scared!

What advice have you got?

Take each day as it comes. Never stop smiling!

Filmmaker Questionnaire

What camera and kit do you use?

Lots of stuff. I have some older stuff, some newer stuff. Super 8mm, SD, HD! I tick all the boxes! It depends on the job!

When and why did you start filming?

I started filming about 6 years ago! I started because it was a good way to watch ourselves ride and improve! Plus i really like to see the end product!!

What is most satisfying type of footage for you to capture on tape?

It completely depends! Big tricks are always pleasing, but i don\\\'t think that anything beats a really good slam!!!! hahaha. Then again, beautiful scenic shots can make you feel like David Attenborough!
